MSc Program in Management

Background

SEBA currently has two academic MSc programs in management and economics respectively, covering three first-level disciplines: Business Administration, Management Science and Engineering and Applied Economics.

The MSc Program in Management is divided into two disciplines:

l  Business Administration:

Founded in 1937 as CQU Business College and gathering a large number of China's leading scholars led by Dr. Ma Yinchu, such as Ding Hongfan, Zhu Zuhui, Ye Yuanlong, Pan Xulun, etc., our school was for long time the top one in China in this discipline and currently it also represents one of the most powerful forces in academic research and talent training.

This discipline works on a mission to meet the major needs of development across the country and the western regions and has achieved significant research advantages.

l  Management Science and Engineering:

The discipline was approved as a Master Degree-granting Station for Construction Economics and Management in 1984, which was adjusted into a Master Degree-granting Station for Management Science and Engineering in 1997.

This discipline took part in the development of Project 985 "Research on the Economic Development of Less Developed Regions in China" philosophical and social science innovation base, the national "Project 211" key disciplines and Chongqing "Manufacturing System Engineering" key laboratory.

In 2010, the discipline was approved to set up the "Chongqing Key Laboratory of Modern Logistics" and the "Chongqing Modern Logistics Productivity Promotion Center" and participated in the establishment and construction of the "Chongqing Economics and Management Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center", recognized as an important research base and talent training base of Management Science and Engineering in China, especially in western regions. The discipline is designed to carry out fundamental theory and application research according to the regional economic development and actual business needs, particularly in combination with such sectors as manufacturing, modern services and real estate.
