Overview

SEBA was initially accredited by AMBA in 2013 , by AACSB in 2017 and  by EQUIS in 2021. The school was re-accredited by AMBA in 2019, and by AACSB in 2022.


SEBA's mission is "To build a global vision with local relevance, to develop new management knowledge and cultivate outstanding talents", so SEBA pursues the strategy of internationalization firmly in these yeas.

 

In 2018, SEBA sends out 290 undergraduate, graduate and MBA students for oversea exchange programs. Among that, there are more than 40 students studying one-term exchange program or double degree programs and more than 200 students are sent out for short-term exchange programs.


Every year, students of SEBA can apply for all kinds of international exchange programs provided by the University and the School. At the university level, CQU has Sino-US Fulbright Project, CSC sponsored programs, and exchange programs cooperated with internationally renowned universities, such as Oxford University, The University of Nottingham, UC Berkeley, the University of British Columbia and a number of short-term visiting programs.


At the school level, SEBA also provides joint 2+2 program with the University of Alberta, University of Victoria, University of Cincinnati, Singapore Management University and nearly 10 short-term visiting programs every year.


In 2018, SEBA has 52 undergraduate students successfully applying for continuously studying master and doctoral degree programs in famous international universities, such as The University of Warwick, The University of Manchester, University College London, The Johns Hopkins University, University of Durham, and Northwest University. SEBA also receives students from US, Italy, France etc. for China-based study programs every year.

 

For our faculty, more than 80% of them have overseas learning and visiting experience and more than 40% core faculty can teach in English. According to the new recruitment strategy, SEBA plans to annually recruit 5 to 8 new young scholars from international renowned universities in the coming 5 years.

 

As to research, SEBA sets a series of incentive policies to encourage faculty’s international research collaborations and publications. In order to encourage our faculty to attend international conferences, SEBA also provides financial support for them.

 

In addition, every year, SEBA invites about 60 long-term and short-term foreign visiting scholars to visit SEBA, give lecture and attend workshops of our faculty. In 2018, we had visiting scholars from the business school of the University of Alberta, University of Minnesota, University of Kansas and so on.

 

For international students, in 2018, SEBA has 140 international students on campus seeking for degrees. They come from more than 20 countries including France, Italy, Belgium, Thailand and Indonesia etc..

 

SEBA keeps close partnership with a great number of international business schools and institutions and makes great efforts to develop new international cooperations.

 

SEBA has a separate office devoted for international exchange and cooperation affairs of the School (IEC office for short), with 4 full-time professional staff dedicated to international accreditation, student programs, faculty service and all international cooperations.
